The 2022 Volkswagen Golf R is the high performance version of the eighth generation Golf, known as the Mk8. Like the car before it, it uses a turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder engine and 4MOTION all wheel drive, now with a system that can send more torque to the outside rear wheel in corners. The body is still a compact five door hatchback, but the lines are sharper, the headlights are slimmer and the side panels carry a stronger shoulder line. For an itasha, that line splits the doors into an upper and a lower area, so character art often sits above or across it with care.
